Honeycomb ported to 3 HTC smartphones

A lot of you have been very adamant in telling us that you don’t want to see a split in the Android OS, well some of the good guys in the Android dev community are giving you your wish. Honeycomb has been ported for use on the HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Evo 4G, and HTC Desire HD. Unfortunately, this is still a very early alpha, and is sluggish and buggy, but it certainly looks promising.

For your entertainment, here are videos of Honeycomb running on the Incredible and Evo, respectively. Despite the obvious lag, Honeycomb scales well to phones. This is definitely making me more excited for Ice Cream.

The link to download the ROM didn’t work for me, so I’m not including it here. If you’d like to give this a try, head through to the source, and be careful.

  1. Good resources, thanks to the journalist. It truly is incomprehensive in my opinion currently, but in common, the usefulness and significance is mind-boggling. With thanks and good luck..

  2. This domain appears to recieve a large ammount of visitors. How do you get traffic to it? It gives a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to post about is the most important thing.
