The First White iPhone 4 Has Been Sold

Finally we can put all these white iPhone 4 post to rest, the first white iPhone 4 has been sold.

Engadget posted a picture this afternoon of an actual white iPhone 4 and its retail box. Apparently a Vodafone customer was able to purchase this white iPhone 4 when the retailer’s POS (Point of Sale) system recognized the item as a black model. Obviously it was a mistake and employees have since been instructed not to sale anymore until next week.

Check out the black strip above the speaker, 9to5Mac says it’s a proximity sensor, its what turns your screen off when your cheek is close to the screen. On the black model it’s not noticeable but the white model it sticks out pretty good.

Getting one?
