Our sources in Europe have already told us that the white iPhone 4 is launching on Wednesday, April 27, in the Netherlands at least, and now other sources are pointing to a launch on that same day in the United States. A source at Best Buy sent us the above inventory screenshot and this screenshot details the April 27th launch date for the product. That particular screenshot is for the AT&T, GSM model of the white iPhone 4, but our connects at Verizon told us there is a CDMA version coming, too. We suppose that the Verizon version is launching that same day in the United States.
Last week, Apple confirmed rumors that the White iPhone 4 would finally be launching soon. Multiple sources pegged the release by the end of April, and iPhoneItalia now reports that April 26th will be the day.
The white iPhone 4 was first announced alongside the black model when the iPhone 4 was first introduced. Production issues with the white paint, however, have since held up its release.
Well, if you weren’t quick enough to get a ticket to this year’s WWDC, this just might … make you angry. A developer is selling an unactivated extra ticket on eBay for the Buy It Now price of US$3,500. That’s $1,900 more than the original $1,599 cost. The eBay seller says the ticket is one he bought for a colleague who can’t make it this year. It’s great that he wants to give another dev who missed out on a ticket the chance of going, but trying to make a buck off it? Come on. [We thought about putting in a link to the auction itself, but decided that was just bad form. -Ed]
Now before anyone gets too hopeful (or angry), I’m certain that Apple is going to put an end to this auction quicker than it can pull an app from the App Store. The last thing Apple wants to have happen is a string of bogus developers in future years buying up WWDC tickets and then scalping them for a profit. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some more WWDC tickets show up on Craigslist or eBay before the June 6 conference begins.

Comex, the well-know iPhone hacker, and the guy behind Spirit and JailbreakMe, has unveiled some good news for iPad 2 users, as we reported you earlier that Comex has successfully jailbroke iPad 2 running iOS 4.3 with his upcoming userland jailbreak, today he just confirmed that there’s new bootom exploit has been discovered by someone to jailbreak iPad 2 running iOS 4.3.
Someone asking Comex: is your new iPad 2 exploit in the boot rom? Or a userland exploit? Kinda curious. I am one of the lucky ones who landed one day one.
Comex replying: Userland, but I hear someone has a bootrom vulnerability that they might have exploited.
Comex didn’t announce about the hacker who have this bootrom exploit. On the other hand you have to know that also Stefan Essar (iPhone hacker) also has confirmed that he will release his untethered iPad 2 jailbreak on iOS 4.3 by the next weekend.
It’s highly expected that hacker behind this exploit will keep his bootrom exploit until iPhone 5 releases to make it effective for the longest period as much as they can, as this kind of exploits is only patched by a hardware upgrade. But the userland exploit is a software exploit which can be patched on any iOS update.
Few hours ago, after the announcement of iPad 2 and its specs, iPhone hacker p0sixninja of Chronic Dev Team posted on his Twitter that they’ll focus on the jailbreak of the new iPad 2 oniOS 4.3 once they get it.
We’re crossing our fingers and hoping that at least SHAtter is still in iPad2
For those who don’t know, SHAtter is an exploit found in October 2010. The team wanted to release it to jailbreak iOS 4.1 but Geohot came with Limera1n exploit and suggested to save the exploit for newer devices. So there’s a big chance that it works on iPad 2. Let’s wait and see!
really I like to see the presentation of this guy, he is very talanted and attractive. It’s expected to see some surprises in few minutes, stay tuned
